February 18 – Valentine’s Dance sponsoring the Special Pops Dance at the Adult Recreation Center from 7-9pm; Cost is FREE; Goody bags for all persons with developmental disabilities; Wear your best outfit!!
March 5 – The 6th Annual Impact Expo from 11-2 @ Westfield Eastridge Mall-Gastonia; awareness event to promote Developmental Disability Awareness Month.
April 16 – Run for the Money 9 from 8-12 at the Rotary Pavilion, downtown Gastonia; fundraiser sponsored by The Community Foundation. Autism Awareness Month participating in local events and providing information to the community to promote Autism awareness.
May 21 – Arc in The Park Family Night from 4-9pm @ Biggerstaff Park, Dallas; family fun activities, concessions; bicycle safety checks from local law enforcement; Rated G movie shown outdoors at dusk. Promoting National Family Month and Bicycle Safety Month.
June 27 thru August 4 – Kamp Kaleidoscope The Arc’s specialized summer camp for individuals age 7 and up with developmental disabilities; life & social skills, educational activities, community field trips; maintain a minimum 4:1 camper to staff ratio; more info to come.
June – Ice Cream Social; TBA join us for a cool treat and learn more about The Arc! Meet the board members, Arc members, other community volunteers, and our self advocates.
